Twitter explains when it would restrict world leaders’ tweets

Twitter on Tuesday clarified its stance around abusive tweets by world leaders, laying out a number of ’enforceable offenses’ that could result in their tweets being removed. Twitter said that it would ’focus on the language of reported Tweets and do not attempt to determine all potential interpretations of the content or its intent’.

So let me get this straight: US politicians are not allowed to block people on Twitter, as that would be restricting their free speech, yet Twitter can openly decide when and where to censor elected officials? We truly live in a strange world.
