Trump vetoes measure to end his emergency declaration on border wall

President Trump has vetoed a joint resolution of Congress that sought to terminate his declaration of a national emergency on the southern border with Mexico. Trump declared the emergency to circumvent Congress and redirect money designated for other programs to pay for the US-Mexico border wall.

Remeber when this wasn't an emergency according to Congress dems? Then media got on making it Trump's fault, as Congress dems like the squad voted against funding to the very migrants they supposedly cared for, bc it wasn't good enough to disrespect our career law enforcement agents, but they insisted on blocking funding; The less funding for DHS, the worse enforcement, therefore more demographic change to their political advantage, and the more austere the conditions of the detainees they use as pawns. The left was silent when Obama governed via executive decision, and provided little resistance when Bush did so. They seem hate when Obama is brought up, as they're used to not being called on their hypocrisy and therefore it's frightening for them to lose their usual uncontested control of the narrative.

Now that Trump has legislatively asserted his authority, will the courts stay out of it? The argument that he was skirting congressional authority is now moot.

Before anyone whinea about this. It barely passed with a majority vote and the second round of voting will much more clearly show how uninterested most Americans are in stopping this wall.

In the meantime, it's our soldiers who will suffer as schools on bases will go unbuilt, dilapidated housing continues to crumble, and naval shipyards will have to wait for much needed construction projects. But sure, lets build a 2000 mile unmanned vanity project instead, undefeatable unless you have a simple ladder.
