T-Mobile’s merger with Sprint approved by US Federal Communications Commission

T-Mobile’s $26.5 billion merger with Sprint was approved by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States. The approval was given on the basis of Chairman Ajit Pai’s recommendation in August. The Justice Department of the US had approved the deal in the month of July.

They are also two different network types. T- mobile is GSM and Sprint is CDMA. Coverage problems will most likely arise. Similar to when Sprint bought Nextel.
