Chicago teachers return for second day of strike

As the union and city bargainers keep trying to hammer out a contract, the Chicago teachers on strike have returned to the Picket lines. Classes of more than 300,000 students were cancelled as the Chicago Teachers Union and its 25,000 members went on strike.

Public school systems are only indoctrination centers for the Left, they should not be supported any longer.

“It’s not about the money”, maybe not, but it’s also not about the kids. Seriously the second strike within 10 years come on.

I mean, it is Chicago. It's not like they actually teach the kids there anything important.

2 out of 3 children in the 8th grade in the US can not read or do math at grade level. I'm sure it's far worse in Chicago. Who gets raise for failing at their job? Yes I know that lack of good parents and crappy administrations don't help make the job easier, but still teachers, y'all need to do better.

There have been so many teacher strikes in Illinois, I've had one at my school and two more were threatened in other districts, they keep asking for more and more money and are bankrupting the state

Fire all these Gov funded baby sitters, and distribute the money saved to the parents via tax rebates.

Anything to do with the Chicago teacher's union always makes me think of the "Dance of the Lemons" from the documentary Waiting for Superman.
