Huawei is in early talks about licensing 5G tech to U.S. firms

As per reports, Huawei is in early-stage talks with some US telecoms companies about licensing its 5G network technology to them. Vincent Pang, Senior VP and board director at the company, said some firms had expressed interest in both a long-term deal or a one-off transfer. However, no details were provided on the companies.

Huawei Intellectual Property, aka "stolen IP". in years of involvement with Chinese companies, I never saw anything actually created by them. It was always a rip off of someone else's technology.

For all of you commenting about losing privacy... this is not saying that Huawei equipment would be used be US telecom companies, just the ideas behind the technology. In other words, Huawei would be selling the right to reproduce their 5G equipment. I don't doubt though that a fair portion of the IP behind it is stolen.
