Mick Mulvaney claims Ukraine aid remarks misconstrued

Mick Mulvaney has said his comments about the decision to hold up military aid to Ukraine have been misconstrued. In his latest statement, Mulvaney said there was ’no quid pro quo’ between Ukrainian military aid and that country’s willingness to investigate the US election. Hours earlier, Mulvaney was quoted saying it was true that Trump used the aid to prod Kiev to investigate the allegation.

Breitbart article does a decent job refuting CNN's bias.

Such BS on the part of CNN and the rest of the Fake News. Obviously not quid pro quo nor illegal nor impeachable nor unusual.

Holy Weasel Words Batman! Has no one ever considered there ain't no such thing as a free lunch?! US aid is not free, there is always an expectation.

All of which is illegal and impeachable. Trump is banking on the Senate to make his crimes go away.

“MULVANEY: Did [Trump] also mention to me in passing the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely. no question about that. That's it, and that's why we held up the money. KARL: So the demand for an investigation into the Democrats was part of the reason that he was ordered to withhold funding to Ukraine? MULVANEY: The look back to what happened in 2016 certainly was part of the thing that he was worried about in corruption with that nation. And that is absolutely appropriate, which ultimately then flowed.” Sorry. No take backs. Hahaha

Glad bbrite could refute the #2 guy in Trump's administration saying what he said. These guys are clowns. Mulvaney obviously thinks he's the smart guy in the room. "I did not say what you recorded me saying". Genius!!!?

FUCK this shit you can do WATCH the actual speech and quit listening to the lies. I watched it there is some confusion because the nasty reporters all scream over each other but the truth is there he was adamant about NO Quid Pro Quo

Trump withheld the funds until he was sure that Ukraine would actually crack down on corruption. Ukraine never knew that the funds were frozen until media reported it. This is also something over a week ago. How exactly is this news? This is olds. The media is the last horse in and is sending it through a spin cycle.

Sounds like another spineless Republican without testicles reflexively rolling over.
