Dept. of Education gave $11M to for-profit colleges that lost accreditation

Democrats in Congress provided evidence that the Department of Education gave $11 million to support for-profit colleges even though they were aware the colleges were ineligible because they had lost their accreditation. Two separate groups of students filed lawsuits against Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. The Department of Education said that it was acting in the students’ best interest.

Were they Trade Schools. If so I dont have particular problem beside the Federal Govrnment should not be funding colleges period.

this sounds bad but i will hold judgment unless i have figures from past presidencies to compare to. entirely possible that number could pale in comparison to other administrations. i myself treaded water in the for-profit college trap and would gladly watch every one of them burn.
