GM workers strike might end as workers finish voting on proposed 4 year contract

Voting on a proposed four year contract that might see a 40-day strike coming to an end at General Motors was finished by striking workers at GM on Friday. The strike cost the company, which is the largest automaker in the United States, around $2 billion in revenues.

This is the reason why companies move to China. GM employees make 68 dollars an hour including benefits. In this case unions are destroying these companies. My father taught me to work. Not bitch about the work and stop.

This strike not only effects GM. It stopped production at other businesses with GM contracts to make parts and ship cars. Those small companies they do business with, like the one I work for, are not union protected and have laid off many employees. Some risk going out of business all together. No consideration for the rest of us.
