Google digs into deeper meanings of searches

Google has said it is rolling out a change to English language searches in the US, which it expects will give better results for every one in 10 searches. The newest update is based on a training technique called Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers, or BERT. BERT involves teaching the systems to better understand the order and context in which a word appears.

The results on google are now so generic and unrelated to my searches that I find myself having to switch to bing to actually find something. They're just ruining it further.
