Hyundai to start autonomous sharing ride-sharing service in California

Hyundai will offer autonomous ride sharing services in California from next month to study consumer behavior in an autonomous driving environment. The carmaker will team up with Pony.ai, a self-driving start-up, and mobility service provider Via to build a fleet of at least 10 Kona electric SUVs to provide autonomous ride-sharing services called BotRide in Irvine, California.

AWESOME. Some autonomous vehicles are already being used for delivery of groceries and pizzas in Houston and another city, by the company Nuro paired up with Kroger and Domino's. Nuro is completely autonomous; no room for a human and no seats, steering wheel etc.
