Washington Post refers to al-Baghdadi as ’austere religious scholar’

The Washington Post, in a reference to slain ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, published a headline about his death calling him an ’Austere Religious Scholar’. The headline read: ’Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48’. This came after it initially referred to al-Baghdadi as the ’Islamic State’s ’terrorist-in-chief’’.
