Chinese carriers officially launched 5G services in the world’s largest market on November 1, activating 80,000 5G base stations in 50 metro areas. All the three state-backed operators -- China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom -- unveiled 5G plans for local consumers, with plans starting at 128 yuan ($18) per month, which will provide consumers with 30GB data and 500 minutes of voice chat.
