WeWork’s ex-CEO Adam Neumann accused of gender discrimination

WeWork’s ousted CEO, Adam Neumann, has been slapped with a pregnancy and gender-discrimination suit. Neumann’s chief of staff at WeWork, Medina Bardhi, claims in a lawsuit that she was harassed and demoted after she told Neumann of her first pregnancy. Bardhi also alleges she was replaced by a less-qualified male employee after going on maternity leave following the birth of her second child.

This is a load of shit. I've worked in the field of FMLA, Disability and Worker's Compensation for years. Every big employer has a giant HR department that handles termination approval. You can't fire somebody for being pregnant but being pregnant doesn't protect you from being fired.

Don’t women realize that it is exactly this that makes companies think twice over hiring women who are of child bearing age? I’ve heard female CEOs say the same.
