Apple seeks tariff waivers for key product lines

Apple has asked the Trump administration to waive tariffs on Chinese-made Apple Watches, iPhone components and other consumer products. Apple told the Trade Representative’s Office the products were consumer electronic devices and ’not strategically important or related to ’Made in China 2025’ or other Chinese industrial programs’. The public has until Nov. 14 to submit comments on the requests.

Move your factories out of China then you probably wouldn’t be hit so hard by the tariffs

China is a huge threat to democracy. We should be "encouraging" companies to move to countries that are more in line with democratic principles. Mexico, Vietnam, Malaysia and so on. They'll never make them in the US because their profits would suffer but at least affect the Chinese ability to grow their economy and make it clear that government controls who we work with not Tim Cook.
