Elizabeth Warren unveils $52 trillion Medicare for All plan

A $52 trillion Medicare for All plan was unveiled by Senator Elizabeth Warren on Friday, with the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate insisting that the plan would not lead to an increase in middle-class taxes. Ms. Warren had recently been attacked by her opponents for her alleged inability to detail how she would pay for the healthcare plan.

I notice they didn't mention the rationing that will have to go on within the system like they have in England. People having to wait 6 plus months for a routine MRI, or surgery that they used to be able to get next week. Or maybe thousands will not get the cataracts surgery they need, just like in England where it actually happened because of rationing. It's ok though, because it will be "free" and the middle class won't pay for it, she says.

How "honest". Life-hack: If you ever want a new government program, your first assumption should be that the burden of pay is on the middle class.

More taxes for worse healthcare? No, I don't want that.

I have a hard time trusting Comrade Warren. It might have something to do with the fact that she lied about her identity to further her career, then continued the lie to use it for virtue signaling points and political advancement. But sure Liz, the middle class won't get tax increases.

So it'll cost 20 trillion over 10 years.... then what? It no longer costs anything? And after you've bled the wealthy so much they either leave or go bankrupt, then who pays. Can't be the middle class because that will be a distant memory in 10 years as businesses tighten their belts to pay the excessive tax burden.

Not a fan of the current health care system, but If we know anything about govt projects, it takes triple amount of the original estimate only to find out how broken it is.

HaHa! "Finds" - what a farce. "Steals" is a better word for it. It's not like $20.5 Trillion-with-a-capital-T was "found" in the couch cushions...

Don't forget she also said it will cost 2 million Americans their job. A small price to pay to bankrupt a country.

I wonder if she is taxing herself or just people with more money than her, in that plan

Determined to run up that deficit even more... We need a tax revolt in this country like a decade ago. NO MORE DEFICIT SPENDING. (Yes, I am screaming that bit.)

Now I've got a controversial opinion here. I'm not entirely inherently against a system like this. I think there can be a system in which the government can assist you with some basic necessities so there's my liberal view on this. BUT and this is where my conservative principles come into play.. It's Temporary - you can only be on it for a maximum amount of time. Secondly you've got to show that your doing your part and are working toward financial stability and responsibility. If you just feel it's a right and don't have to do shit. You get kicked the fuck out. It's a one and done chance. Take it or leave it. Lastly I don't want it implemented federally. Leave it to the states and the municipalities to dictate how they want those systems to run. I'll give some empathy if you show to me your gonna get back on track but I give no Fucks if you wish to take advantage of my community contribution.

I'm no politician but if I wanted to get the majority vote, I wouldn't be throwing around programs with a number that high. If you want the working class vote show real numbers and back it by showing how it would affect our lives for the better. This is why social programs are bad kids and the people that push them are trash. They dont care about the people who care enough about this country to keep this sinking ship afloat.

As a Canadian, I personally cannot recommend free healthcare. All it means is higher taxes and lower quality healthcare due to zero competition in the market.

The entire national debt is less than 15 trillion dollars. This is 52 trillion dollars. Put another way, it costs every man woman, and child living in the USA $160,000.
