Nine crew members abducted by pirates off Benin coast

Nine crew members of a vessel which was at anchor off the coast of Benin have been kidnapped by pirates. The vessel was owned by Norwegian shipping firm J.J. Ugland. Local authorities were notified by the remaining crew. The vessel was carrying gypsum which is used as a fertilizer.
