Woman survives two days floating in dinghy by eating boiled sweets

A woman, a New Zealand native, survived two days at sea in a small dinghy by eating boiled sweets after losing an oar near a Greek island. Kushila Stein, 47, was found 26 miles south of the island of Folegandros in the Aegean Sea by a coastguard patrol boat on Sunday. Her dinghy was blown severely off course after she took the boat to the Greek island where she had been shopping.

People can go without food for a very long time, if you have enough body fat (which is the whole purpose of body fat in the first place). Water is a lot harder to go without.
