California discloses probe on Facebook privacy practices

California AG Xavier Becerra has said he has been investigating Facebook’s privacy practices since 2018. Becerra offered few details about the probe and said he was disclosing it only because his office was making a public court filing to force Facebook to answer its subpoenas. The investigation is into Facebook’s practices related to privacy, disclosures and third-party access to user data.

FB routinely lies to or ignores government. Why does California think they'll get a pass? Sure, they're based there, but they have so much money that they could pack up and leave.

Good luck, California! Remember, FB knows everything about you and is too powerful to care what you want.
