Majority of British children suffer anxiety, claims study

A survey by ChannelMum.com has revealed that majority of young British kids are struggling with anxiety. The survey asked 2,000 parents of children (aged 3-18) about their kids’ mental health. More than six in 10 said their children regularly exhibit feelings of worry, unease, or fear. Of that, 47% can quickly become irritable, and 29% usually become ’out of control’ during an anxiety attack.

It starts in school and continues in all form of media consumption including children's programs and entertainment... Relax kids, the world is simply a boiling pot of intersectional hierarchies where the most grievous excesses of history are still happening today and you are perpetually both victimized and at fault constantly. Oh, by the way, your parents are going to make the world explode from climate chaos in 12 years. No wait, 10 years... 8 years. NOW KID, NOW! The world is ENDING!

Probably an indication of something toxic in the school policies or curriculum than anything; seems like things were worse 30+ years ago but kids got through that stuff just fine.

Haha that's childhood bitches... also everyone suffers from anxiety, unease and fear at some point, its called living. I'm so tired of people believing kids should have stress free lives... challenges in life are how you learn, and teaches you how to over come problems, and no I'm not saying kids should have terrible childhoods, but a few curve balls don't hurt.

Sounds like the ADHD scare that was around when I was a kid, seriously every child who was slightly naughty got labelled as ADHD. We shouldn't be having parents self diagnosing Thier kids due to a survey.

No shit! Sweetheart, that's called puberty. If you treat it like a problem, then kids don't grow out of it. They just need to suck up the hormone changes for a few years and they'll be fine. Good Gracious 🙄

Anxiety is a part of life. The idea that we should always be fat and happy is counter to reality. Lions on the Savanah are anxious until they kill a prey, then their anxious some hyenas will come along and steal it. People need to learn to use anxiety as a motivator to improve, rather than take a pill or whine.

Anxiety and mood changes are part of being a teenager! Parents need to just tell their kids to grow up and keep going, life can be stressful they just have to learn to put up with it. Things like this promote giving into stress and anxiety and that is bad for teenagers.
