Las Vegas bans sleeping on streets

Las Vegas has passed a law that bans sleeping on the street, imposing a $1,000 fine and six months in prison for those who do so. The ordinance comes into force Sunday (November 10), but its criminal provisions will not be applied until February. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman said the law is necessary for a city that is highly dependent on tourism revenues.

This is not a solution. Government, as long as it refuses to acknowledge it is anything other than a "people not behaving properly in front of us" problem, will never find a solution. Passing what is tantamount to a trespass bylaw is a sign of cowardice and the whole city government should resign and maybe some people with vision and a spine can be elected. For you echo chamber neanderthals blaming the homeless, SHAME ON YOU!
