US charges New York company with illegal Chinese equipment sales

A Long Island, New York-based security products company and seven of its employees are being charged with fraud, money laundering and illegal importation of equipment manufactured in China. Prosecutors said the defendants falsely told customers that Aventura’s products were made in the US rather than imported, mainly from China. Some of those products carried known cybersecurity risks.
