Amazon spent $1.5 million on Seattle elections

Seattle voters, in a rebuke to heavy corporate campaign spending by Amazon.com, have kept progressives firmly in control of their city council. Amazon poured a record $1.5 million into a Super PAC run by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce to back a slate of candidates in the Nov. 5 council elections.

Interesting... as of the day after the election, Kshama Sawant, was losing her election bid, but on Saturday was declared winner. It appears she ran a full blown communist election campaign and her supporters mysteriously 'found' those votes they needed.

Don't really know or care about Amazon donating any money, but you really have to wonder why Seattle voters don't get some new people in office because the incumbents are not solving anything?

#CitizensUnited was a huge mistake. Campaign donations should be limited to registered voters only. Corporations, unions and PACs cannot vote. Therefore, they shouldn't be allowed to contribute money.
