Vietnam jails Australian citizen for 12 years for terrorism

A court in Vietnam sentenced a 70-year-old Vietnamese-Australian man to 12 years in prison after finding him guilty of terrorism. Chau Van Kham had been tried for being a member of the US-based human rights group Viet Tan, which Vietnam regards as a ’terrorist’ body. Kham is believed to have helped raised funds for anti-state activities, joined anti-Vietnam protests and recruited members.

The left: Anything we don't like is hate speech. Communists: Anything we don't like is terrorism. now idk the details because abc didn't post too many but it does sound sus that he was training in a foreign country with others and a former S Vietnam vet who has it out for Commy Vietnam. But I fail to see what exactly their claiming, he just seemed like a political player.
