Connecticut man charged in Anguilla hotel worker’s death skips hearing

A Connecticut banker accused of killing a hotel worker during a family vacation in Anguilla skipped court Monday on the Caribbean isle out of fear for his safety. Scott Hapgood, 44, was scheduled to be in court for the scheduled preliminary inquest - the conclusion of which would decide whether his manslaughter case would go to trial. Hapgood is charged with the April 13 death of Kenny Mitchel.
