Law being pushed so ’women are able to see male colleague’s pay’

A women’s rights group is calling for a new law that would compel firms to tell female staff if they are paid less than men for doing the same job. Fawcett Society CEO said that women need an enforceable ’right to know’ what their colleagues earn so that they can challenge unequal pay. The call comes after the Labour Party pledged to close the gender pay gap by 2030 if it wins the election.
