Hunter shoots his friend after mistaking him for a deer

A hunter in South Carolina allegedly mistook his hunting buddy for a deer and shot him. Wildlife agents are investigating the shooting. Reports said the wounded hunter was hit by buckshot and taken to a hospital in Greenville. The wounded hunter’s condition wasn’t immediately released.

As a hunter myself, one of the first rules is always know your target. Shooting at something you can't positively identify is irresponsible and deadly as seen over and over. Get a pair of binoculars and grow up. Also another reason to wear your hunter orange.

The shooter should be charged with at least manslaughter. I have guns and will sometimes hunt but this person was irresponsible in not knowing his target before he pulled the trigger. That is the first lesson a good hunter should learn.
