White House releases summary of April call with Ukraine’s Zelenskiy

The White House on Friday released a summary of an April phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. While Trump had said repeatedly that Democrats wanted details of his April 21 call with Zelenskiy, it has never been a focus of the ongoing impeachment probe. The White House released the transcript moments before the second day of public hearings.

Well, this transcript blows the the secondary conspiracy theory that has been floating around that Trump was promising a White House visit for opening an investigation into possible crimes committed by Biden and Crowdstrike. He had already offered the visit, without any mention of the left's off limits investigations.

The reporting is hillarious... depending on the news outlet, the release is called a transcript, memorandum or summary. It is clearly marked a Memorandum which just means it has removed erroneous details that markup a verbatim transcript. But if you're a radical leftist conspiracy theorist, your going to believe this is a summary snippet of a long and devious phone conversation that is burying the truth.

everything in a conversation translated from Ukrainian to English is a summary there simply can not be a word for word because translators have to "summarize" what their president is saying and convert it. PLUS all the convo is researched and certified to be accurate. THe only people cheating here are the Democrats and the media

“Trump had said repeatedly that Democrats wanted details of his April 21 call with Zelenskiy, but IT HAS NEVER BEEN A FOCUS OF THE LAWMAKERS leading the impeachment probe of Trump on Capitol Hill.” Why? Because it wasn't on CNN?

Oh my gosh, is this seriously what people are complaining about??? It's just a guys patting themselves on the back, there is no conspiracy here! I hope they try to impeach him on this, because it will utterly collapse.

I would personally like all the transcripts out, but apparently they all are " notes." and no actual recording? The White House memo is not a verbatim transcript of the phone call. It is based on the notes of national security council aides who listened in on the conversation. Under normal practice, calls with foreign leaders are not recorded and transcripts are produced afterwards by putting together notes taken on the call, according to former officials.

Summary. Not transcript. An obvious attempt to control the narrative through obfuscation.

Poor Zelinsky. Being a US/NATO puppet leader of a rogue nation sure can be a drag, can't it?

We aren’t going to get the full 100% transcript because the White House hid it away in a top secret server. Lt. Col Vindman is going to testify next Tuesday so there goes your narrative of no “first hand knowledge”.

This call - and honestly even the 2nd call - really don't have much to do with what happened. Here is what I believe happened (in a nutshell): Trump used Giuliani to keep their priorities as unofficial and off-the-record as possible. I'm actually surprised he even mentioned the investigations to Sondland and Zelenskiy, but as for the aid-for-Biden investigation announcement, Trump sent Rudy Giuliani and directed US diplomats and President Zelenskiy to work with and speak directly to him. Giuliani then also used Parnas as yet another proxy to keep things hidden similarly to how people hiding money use layers of shell corporations. If it weren't for Congress reacting to an article on Politico - and the whistleblower report - the aid wouldn't have been released and Zelenskiy would have made the Biden announcement in an interview he had set up with Fareed Zakaria. Once the aid was released and Taylor warned him not to get involved with American elections Zelenskiy canceled the interview with Zakaria. Zelenskiy had finally opted to make the announcement because on Sept 30 the aid would have been canceled. By keeping Bolton, Mulvaney, Kupperman, and Giuliani from testifying, Trump is ensuring that we will never get to hear the full smoking gun... and my gut tells me that even if Mulvaney and Giuliani testified they would both lie to Congress. Hopefully SDNY eventually indicts Mr. Giuliani, as that would undoubtedly reveal a lot more. And hopefully everyone can agree that no matter what really happened Congress and the public should hear from Bolton, Mulvaney, Kupperman, and Giuliani. If they have nothing to hide, then it will be quick and painless.
