Germany passes law that could force Apple to open up the iPhone’s NFC chip to rival mobile payment platforms

A new German law forces Apple to allow other mobile payment services to use NFC on iPhone. Apple has so far only allowed Apple Pay to take advantage of the technology. But Germany has decided that it won’t stand for that anymore — despite Apple’s concerns. Germany passed a new law on Thursday that forces the operators of electronic money infrastructure to allow rival access.

Normally I'm against Government passing laws to handicap Capitalism, but oh boy! Apple has been asking for it; and funny how the Social Justice Warrior Nation of the World penalizes a wannabe Social Justice Warrior. :D
