John Bel Edwards wins Louisiana governor’s election

Incumbent Governor John Bel Edwards won a tightly-contested governor’s election against Republican businessman Eddie Rispone Saturday night. Bel Edwards’s win is a discouraging sign for Republicans and President Trump. In the two months leading up to Election Day, Trump visited the state thrice to help drum up support for Rispone. Edwards ended up with a roughly one percent win over Rispone.

Edwards sounds like a pretty decent candidate even though he is a democrat. Pro gun and anti-abortion? We need more republicans like him. I’m not mad about him winning.

Three rallies in Louisiana didn't work. Maybe Trump announcing he's moving to the next battleground will do the trick. As a side note, what are all these rallies costing the tax payer?

Two months leading up to Election day? You do realize the next major election is NEXT NOVEMBER right? The primaries have little to do with the Republicans for the most part.
