Trump pressed ambassador on status of Ukraine investigations, witness testifies

William Taylor, the top US diplomat in Ukraine, testified on Wednesday that Trump was overheard asking about ’the investigations’ he wanted Ukraine to pursue, an issue central to the impeachment inquiry. Taylor said his staff recently told him they overheard the US president when they were meeting with the US ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, at a Kyiv restaurant.
