Jewelry maker Pandora will no longer use mined diamonds

World’s leading jewelry maker Pandora has changed its company policy not to use mined diamonds in the future. The company will produce laboratory-made jewelry, which is much less expensive than natural jewelry. Concerns about the environment and conditions of mine workers led them to switch their policy. In 2020, worldwide lab-grown diamond production grew to between 6 and 7 million carats.

Yea and they plan on passing the savings down to you! Or so you thought lol. They just dont want anyone to find out about the blood diamonds they use during this cancel culture trend. Would shut them down for good if anyone found out.

They say they’re doing because of concerns about working conditions for miners. Well conditions for miners aren’t going to get better now that you’ve removed the demand for their product. You may have just put them all out of a job in a third world country. Thanks!

What a joke. This jeweler is not know for selling diamonds or any real precious stones. Selling fake diamonds would actually be an upgrade for this costume jeweler.

Lab created gems aren't creating less pollution, they are cheaper to make. This is cost saving corporate move dressed up as environmentalism. Just like most of it

Good, more for industry to use in useful ways rather than vanity products.

Does anyone actually believe this will make a difference? Is anyone really that naive to believe those diamond mines in Africa will just shut down? Of course not, they will continue to mine so the owners can make money, and people will continue to buy them.
