Amazon confirms police can keep Ring doorbell videos forever

Will this be the straw that finally breaks the camels back in the privacy invasive smart devices department? I guess not. People will keep buying Alexas and the likes, and giving away their privacy.

I completely automated my house over a year ago and over the last month I've unplugged most of my devices from Amazon and Google. It's not worth it and honestly it wasn't actually all that convenient and easy anyway.

Big tech demands that you sign a "terms of service agreement" to use a product that you paid for. That TOSA is subject to change. So we're in a world now where we are forced to submit our rights to corporations who then give them over to government in exchange for tax favors, government contracts, etc. And this extends to foreign government agencies as well.
