UAW president resigns amid corruption probe

United Auto Workers (UAW) President Gary Jones resigned on Wednesday after being linked to an ongoing corruption probe. Jones’ lawyer said that the union president had decided to resign effective immediately. This comes hours after the union filed charges under its bylaws against Jones in a move that could have led to his removal from office.

Minor error... The article says the bribes go back to 2009. Most likely they meant "this particular set of bribes". The unions are an arm of the mob. "bribes", "insurance", "payoffs", "protection" are what they do.
