China emissions exceed all developed nations combined: report

China emissions exceed all developed nations combined: report

A new research by Rhodium Group claims that China emits more greenhouse gas than the entire developed world combined. In 2019, China emitted 27% of the world’s greenhouse gases. The US was the second-largest emitter at 11% while India was third with 6.6% of emissions. China’s emissions have more than tripled over the previous three decades. China has vowed to reach net-zero emissions by 2060.

That's Beijing Biden's best buddies/owners. He was just in talks with them about this issue. I'm sure they don't laugh at him immediately after they get off the call /s.🤦🏽‍♂️ I c'n't wait to get this embarrassment out of office. As far as the pollution goes that is sad for the people of China. Their local environment is not a healthy one. This is the type of thing you can expect in an authoritarian nation. In a nation with individual rights like America we have legal mechanisms in place so that the effects of o'e's polluting are grounds for compensation. This focus on the individual creates higher accountability.

Keep in mind, who buys the stuff produced in China?

And yet they don't have to start reducing emissions for a decade. According to AOC, that will only leave a couple years to save the world. Maybe she is expecting they will turn us into The Wandering Earth.

Its why the climate agreement was flawed. China and other high polluting countries were allowed to on for decades, while we had to curb our emissions immediately.

The issue is. Trump got us out of the Paris accord because we were putting in all the money. China isn’t even co operating when it comes to emissions, and the CCP has lied about other things. Why doesn’t anything think they are lying about emissions. #CCPisTheEnemy.

Why don't we send that Gretta girl over to China - let's see how that pans out. Instead of going to developed nations and saying we're the cause of the issue. SMFH

Funny how progressives always like to brag about "green" the rest of the world is, and how we are so far behind when it comes to clean energy...hope this recent news serves as a wake up call

I sure am glad Biden signed that Paris climate agreement Trump dropped. Im sure China in no way agreed to its target then opened 50 more coal power plants.

We knew this. Where is Greta? What about AOC? What are they doing to help curtail communism's rampant destruction of our environment? Oh... they are... spreading communism.

China is bad, but the US is also not too good. I think it is too bad because I know the US can do so much more and set a leading example for the world. A massive country producing little pollution.

An interesting takeaway based on this data... if you scale the emissions per billion people, you get 19% emissions per billion people for China (pop: 1.398 billion), 34% per billion for the USA (pop: 0.3282 billion), and only 5% per billion for India (pop: 1.366 billion). That means that each person in the USA, on average, pollutes 1.7 times as much as each person in China. And on the flipside, a person in India pollutes only 1/4 as much as a person in China. That was just a surprising reinterpretation of the data to me.

Are we so naive to believe exactly what China says? Their vote value is founded in deceit and lies.

When considering global manufacturing, China does 20% and emits 27% vs US does 18% and only emits 11%, It’s very evident China don’t give a f*+# about the earth.

The Paris accord required only the USA to lower emissions. The rest just said they may some day. That was hardly an accord. Of course they agree its ok to damage our economy, not theirs.

Massaging stats to prove your point...The real measure of environmental impact should be per unit of productivity- not per country or per person.

What groundbreaking news. Next thing you know, we'll be told America would still finance the majority of whatever global initiative China claims it'll honor

How is this a surprise to anyone. They say one thing but do another. They are behind three-fourths of all new coal burning electricity production worldwide.

Not per person. Also, China gets paid for those emissions by customers all over the world.

If the USA refined all the ore we ask China to do we would be far worse than any other country on Earth.
