Wildfire spreads across 200 acres of North Carolina’s Cold Mountain

A wildfire continued to spread across 200 acres of North Carolina’s iconic Cold Mountain, despite two inches of rain on Saturday. The Forest Service of the United States revealed the same via a Facebook post on Sunday. The fire was reported on Thursday, and since then, nearly 30 fire-fighters have been working to contain the spread of the fire.

as someone who lives in Western NC and has camped around and on cold mountain I can only say this is the first I've heard of any fires😂😂😂😂. we still'don't do controlled fires as much as we need to and the brush around cold mountain is (was) a lot.
