Facebook would have let Hitler buy ads, says Sacha Baron Cohen

British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen slammed Facebook saying had it existed in the 1930s it would have allowed Hitler a platform for his anti-Semitic beliefs. Cohen also criticized Google, Twitter and YouTube for pushing ’absurdities to billions of people’. Facebook said in a statement that Cohen had misrepresented its policies and that hate speech was banned on its platforms.

I think we could all agree that public platforms should remain public and speech should remain free. The big difference is that if Hitler posted ads on facebook the whole world could counter his arguments since he wouldn't have control over said platform.
