Audi to cut 9,500 jobs to save $6.6B for investment in electric cars

Nearly 9,500 jobs will be cut by car maker Audi at its factories in Germany, by 2025. This job cut will be through employee turnover & retirement programs agreed upon by the works council. The company has announced that it is taking this step in order to save nearly $6.6 billion, which it plans to invest in electric cars and digital technology. 2,000 new jobs at Audi will be created as a result.
