FAA says it will handle all approvals for new Max jets

The FAA said on Tuesday it notified Boeing that the agency will be the only issuer of airworthiness certificates for all new 737 MAX planes. The role was shared with the aircraft maker in the past. The U.S. air regulator also repeated that it has not completed its review of the 737 MAX aircraft design changes and associated pilot training.

This how it is supposed to work. The FAA current top administrators should all be terminated for their abdicating their authority to Boeing which allowed this fiasco to happen in the first place. Corporations will always work to their own self-interest. That's why we need regulations and agencies to police those regulations. Government for the corporations and by the corporations is the definition of fascism.
