Iraqi PM to resign amidst mass anti-establishment protests

Adel Abdul-Mahdi, the Prime Minister of Iraq announced he would resign, after weeks of anti-establishment protests left scores of people dead. The top Shia Muslim cleric of the country asked lawmakers to rethink about their support to the government. Nearly 400 protesters have been shot dead by Iraqi forces since October 1, when mass protests broke out.
