Over 10,000 evacuated in Turin, over British bomb dropped during WWII

A 500-pound WWII bomb discovered in Turin’s central district prompted an urgent evacuation of thousands of people on Sunday. Residents were told to vacate a ’red zone’ of the area where the British-dropped bomb was found. A further 50,000 living further away were told either to leave their homes in advance or to remain inside as bomb experts worked to defuse it which contained 65kg of dynamite.

Kind of crazy the kinds of things some people have to live through. Even on a first world city your home could just blow up one day because of a ~80 year old bomb under it just detonated suddenly.
