China repeats demand for rollback of US tariffs for deal

Beijing’s top priority in any phase one trade deal with the US is the removal of existing tariffs on Chinese goods, China’s Global Times newspaper reported on Sunday. The paper citing unidentified sources added that US officials had been resisting such a demand because the tariffs were their only weapon in the trade war and giving up that weapon meant ’surrender’.

Time to raise the tariffs. Give a 5 year tax holiday to every manufacturer that relocates their factories to America.

China, part of the trade deal will likely involve rolling back tariffs. It is called a bargaining chip.
