Ancient puppy found in Siberian permafrost still has its fur and whiskers

Russian scientists have found a prehistoric puppy preserved in the Siberian permafrost near Yakutsk. Discovered last year, the puppy is unusually well-preserved, with its hair, teeth, whiskers, and eyelashes intact. Scientists analyzing the remains have determined that the male puppy was two months old and lived around 18000 years ago. However, they couldn’t tell whether it was a dog or a wolf.

That puppy has some serious teeth! Very neat that this is so close to when dogs/wolves separated; note that the article only says that the scientists couldn't distinguish which species it was.
