Biden says he doesn’t ’need an Obama endorsement’ amid reported criticism

Joe Biden insisted on Monday that he doesn’t need former President Obama’s endorsement in the Democratic presidential race because his connection to his ex-boss is already clear to voters. ’ Everyone knows I’m close with him,’ Biden said. His comments came amid ongoing speculation that the former president didn’t have confidence in his former right-hand man.

I disagree. Many of Biden's supporters are simply nostalgic of Obama, and having his support would be a fantastic boon. I predict Biden's campaign's success will hinge on whether he can convince people he will be the same as Obama, and not getting Obama's endorsement will hurt that.
