Former Malaysian PM takes stand in 1MDB scandal-linked trial

Former Malaysian PM Najib Razak took to the witness box for the first time on Tuesday to defend himself on criminal charges linked to a scandal at state fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB). Najib is accused of illegally receiving $10 million from former 1MDB unit SRC International. If convicted, Najib, 66, could face jail terms ranging from 15 to 20 years on each charge.
