Supreme Court leans towards BP in Montana Superfund Case

The residents of Montana had demanded that Atlantic Richfield Co, a unit of British owned BP Plc, go beyond the Superfund provisions to provide cleanup of arsenic pollution left over by a century of mining. The Supreme Court expressed concern that landowners could interfere with land remediation efforts ordered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
