Seven year old shot by intoxicated man in Sanford, Florida

A seven year old boy was shot in the leg by an intoxicated man in Sanford, Florida, on Saturday. 30 year old Anthony Knuth approached a group of children who were playing with Nerf guns, and brandished a real gun, eventually shooting the seven year old.

"Knuth was charged with neglect of a child with great bodily harm and using a firearm under the influence of alcohol, according to jail records. He was held on a $15,000 bond." Uh, what? I'm pretty sure even intoxicated + possession of a firearm should be a felony. When he told the kids "I'm going to get a real gun with real bullets" that make it seem like this could actually be attempted murder too.

Whatever his punishment is it should include absolutely no alcohol or drug use for the rest of his life and of course not being able to own or handle a firearm. The drug and alcohol use should be monitored often and randomly at his expense.

Thank you gun lobby and do nothing "patriots" in Congress for allowing a habitual drunk the opportunity to shoot a child.
