Shooting near Mississippi university briefly causes campus lockdown

Jackson State University campus in Mississippi was locked down for roughly 30 minutes on Wednesday after a nearby shooting wounded one person in the leg. The victim was injured and transported to a hospital. The campus announced the active shooter at 11.39 pm on Wednesday, warning people on campus to take shelter immediately. The shooting took place on a block at the edge of the campus.
