Measles crisis in Samoa, anti-vaxxer arrested

Amidst the ongoing measles crisis in Samoa, officials have arrested anti-vaccination activist Edwin Tamasese on charges of incitement against a government order. More than 4,500 people have been infected with the measles virus in the South Pacific nation since October. The government has made vaccinations compulsory and declared a national emergency.

Anti-vaxxers are amazingly resistant to evidence and logic, much like Lefties. In spite of all the measles killing kids in Samoa around them the anti-vaxxers stick to their illogical beliefs that it's better to not be vaccinated. I'm not in favor of forced vaccines but HELL keep your kid alive!

Good. Science isn't an option or an opinion or a belief.

im not one to support someone being locked up for their ideas. This is a slippery slope. You could now start locking people up because their ideas endanger the population.

I would like people to research the problems with vaccines and ponder a few thoughts ..... (more) Does the government care for our health and well-being? Do the elite consider population control a viable option to combat climate change? Do you value liberty/freedom?

Have Dwayne Johnson give a vaccine PSA!

"Everyone should have sovereignty over themselves" I assume there are limits in your view, correct? Like if someone is blowing up buildings full of people, is violating that person's sovereignty and subduing them by force not a just thing to do?

it's the aorted fetal cells used to grow the virus and the mercury and aluminum adjuvants that upset a lot of anti-vaxxers. and the government shouldn't be able to force people into medical treatment in the first place. and the vaccine manufactures in the US don't have any liability for adverse reactions (there ARE adverse reactions).

When your entire nationwide population is less than 200,000, and you are located thousands of miles from any major land mass, this kinda thing becomes a bit more existential.

I'd rather live with dangerous freedom than peaceful slavery. The government should not be mandating vaccines. I don't give a shit if herd immunity is a thing or that non-vaccnated put everyone at risk for the disease. Everyone should have sovereignty over themselves and no one should be forcing anything into anyone.

Read the vaccine inserts before you get your next vaccine.
