Chris Murphy says ’handful’ of Republicans support impeachment

Sen. Chris Murphy said on Friday that he has spoken with a ’handful’ of Republican colleagues who would consider voting to remove President Trump. Murphy declined to name any of them. He added that he thought there was a maximum of five Republican senators who might vote to remove Trump.

That's funny considering they not only couldn't get a single Republican vote for the inquiry (historical first). They couldn't even get all the Democrats to vote for it. It's an extremely partisan clown fiesta.

Nothing says corrupt like members of the Senate 'jury' already deciding guilt and trying to sway other members of the jury before even hearing the case. Really looking forward to seeing the circus unfold as half of the Democrat House is called before the Senate to testify on their stupidity.

I'd believe it.. the GOP and the DNC are 2 arms of the same crooked body. we got a bunch of rinos in there that are literally part of the deep state claiming to be conservative but all they conserve is their own profit margins. the gop never supported trump until they had to in order to save face, and they look forward to going back to business as usual rest assured.

I believe that there are a handful of Republicans who personally want to vote Trump out - sure. Republicans have a lack of actual testicles in their sacks and a long tradition of folding over at the first sign of public pressure. However, I DO NOT believe that these Republicans are actually going to vote against Trump; they would be voted right out of office if they did, and they know it.

I think he's 100% right. There'll be a majority of Congress who will vote to remove him, which in itself is pretty historic, but it won't reach the 2/3rds threshold, no way. Trump will live on but he'll be damaged goods.

I do think they are a couple that would but it won't be enough to impeach him in the Senate
