5-year-old carries toddler to safety in sub-zero temperatures

A 5-year-old kid in a remote Alaskan village carried an 18-month-old toddler half a mile to a neighbor’s home in freezing temperatures after they were left home alone by their caretaker during a power outage. The youngsters, from Venetie, suffered cold-weather injuries after walking in just socks and light clothing. Julie Peter, 37, was arrested on suspicion of endangering the welfare of the kids.
